Fly to Zurich and take the three-hour transfer to the lovely swiss town of engelberg and your traditional hotel.
22 DECEMBER
Lucerne
Start your holiday with an extraordinary full-day excursion to the lakeside city of lucerne. even a casual stroll around this beautiful swiss city will reward you with treasures such as the restored old chapel Bridge, the Jesuit church and the lion monument. take time to enjoy the chance for shopping in the city’s bustling streets and the opportunity to sample local delicacies. our afternoon includes a cruise aboard a lake steamer to the pretty village of weggis before being driven around the lake to see the william tell monument in altdorf. this is the perfect way to work up an appetite for our evening meal in the hotel.
23 DECEMBER
Berne & Emmental
Today you have the chance to join an optional excursion to see both the swiss capital and emmental, home to the world-famous cheese of the same name. in Berne you can see the mediaeval houses of Kramgasse, the 12th-century clock tower and the city’s magnificent gothic cathedral. we also have time to enjoy Berne’s colourful christmas market before returning to the hotel for a well-deserved dinner, complete with a traditional swiss folklore show.
CHRISTMAS EVE
Sleigh Ride & Mount Titlis
This morning we can look forward to an included horsedrawn sleigh ride, stopping on the way for a warming drink and tasty swiss christmas cake in front of a roaring log fire. later this afternoon, join an optional cable car ride to the snowy summit of mount titlis or take time on your own to explore the pretty village and its festively decorated streets. make your christmas eve even more special by joining the evening’s torch-lit procession to the lourdes grotto, where carols are sung before returning to the hotel for christmas eve dinner. another highlight of the day is midnight mass at a beautiful Benedictine monastery nearby.

Glacier Express
What better way to spend christmas than travelling to chur, switzerland’s oldest city, for a two-hour trip aboard the famous glacier express. the journey takes us through the stunning conches valley, past the dramatic aletschorn mountains to andermatt. we return in plenty of time to celebrate christmas day in style with a delicious dinner and live music.

Bernese Oberland
On an optional full-day trip you’ll have a chance to see the magnificent scenery of the Bernese oberland and the woodcarving centre of Brienz, as well as elegant interlaken and the magnificent grindelwald, sited at the foot of the daunting north face of the eiger. and your holiday doesn’t end there – there’s still a special farewell dinner to enjoy.

Regional connecting flights to London from only £69
If you can’t fly direct to your destination from your local airport (see individual holiday details), usually you will have the choice of taking a regional connecting flight to Heathrow or Gatwick from as little as £69 per person return. If your connecting flight and your flight from Gatwick or Heathrow is with British Airways or British Midland, your luggage will automatically be checked through to your final destination, so there’s no need to collect or check your luggage in twice.

Make your own way and save up to £150 per person

Getting you there - Worldwide Holidays
To get your holiday off to a great start, we offer a range of transfer options with our compliments.

1. Experience door-to-door travel with Page & Moy
If you have booked a Worldwide holiday and live within a 250-mile drive of your departure airport, we will arrange for a taxi to pick you up from your door and take you to the airport, then drop you home on your return, with our compliments. Worldwide holidays include Asia, Australasia, Africa and North and South America, but exclude the Middle East and motor racing holidays.
2. FREE Connecting flights
If you live further than 250 miles from the airport, or if you prefer, you can opt to transfer to the main departure airport by a connecting flight from an airport closer to home (subject to availability).
3. FREE National Express coach travel
Alternatively, why not choose coach travel on the extensive national express network, with over 1,200 collection points nationwide. What’s more, we’ll pay for your ticket!
